Essential Oils

Essential oils are distilled from the leaves, bark, roots and other aromatic portions of a botanical. The oils evaporate resulting in a highly concentrated aroma or the "essence" of the plant. Not only are these oils fragrantly therapeutic but they also retain the plants inherent healing properties. Given they are highly concentrated, pure essential oils are typically not in an ideal state for application directly to the skin, generally, they work better when paired with a carrier oil based on the desired result. The following is a summery for some of our core essential oils. Note: Essential oils can often make the skin sensitive to sunlight. When using, please follow sunblock usage recommendations.
