Carrier Oils
Carrier oils pull double duty in our products, while they each have distinct nourishing and healing properties on their own, they also act as a means of diluting essential oils to a safe and useable form. Generally, essential oils cannot be applied directly to the skin without causing some irritation or an unpleasant reaction but when combined with any number of carrier oils, they can be easily diluted for topical use. They are natural vegetable based oils that are generally cold pressed from the seeds and nuts and are known for their high content of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. They are also very popular due to their high content of essential fatty acids, which are extremely nourishing when applied topically. Carrier oils also have a comedogenic rating determining their best use. The following details our primary carrier oils.
